We planned to have brunch at Dandenong and found Credo in our Greater Melbourne 2011 | 2012 Entertainment™ Book, which offered 25% discount off the total bill.

It was a relaxing drive along Mt. Dandenong Tourist Road, towards Credo. We drove passed Credo and couldn’t find any car entry to the restaurant. As I make a turn back to Credo, I realized that there was a big signage for parking and a huge parking lot directly opposite Credo. So, do slow down when you are near Credo!

It was a quite Saturday as only one table was occupied at Credo. We started the (late) morning with coffee. Flat White and Cappucino ($3.8 each) for me and Ms. L.; and Babyccino (Free) for Lil’ M..

Both of us went for the Credo big breakfast – bacon, oven roasted tomatoes, baby spinach, sautéed mushrooms, sausage, potato rosti and Turkish toast with choice of eggs ($22.5). I had my eggs poached while Ms. L. had scrambled eggs. Lil’ M. got her portions from both Ms. L.’s and mine. I noticed that the price for Credo big breakfast has gone up $3 from $19.5 as advertised on Credo‘s website (July 2011). Anyway, we knew that this place cater for tourists and the prices are above (~$7 more for big breakfast!) average.

Overall, the big breakfast was not bad. We requested for a crispier bacon but it didn’t turn up as expected. But, our brunch couldn’t be better with the cozy atmosphere, fire place in action as well as excellent service from our wait staff.
