Fiesta Mexican (siesta to follow …)

It was the weekend that we heavily utilized our Greater Melbourne 2011 | 2012 Entertainment™ Book. We were at Credo late morning, went to DFO Moorabin in the afternoon for ‘some’ shopping, and headed towards Fiesta Mexican Restaurant for dinner. We found Fiesta Mexican Restaurant in our Greater Melbourne 2011 | 2012 Entertainment™ Book that offered 25% discount off the total bill.

We ordered for Lil’ M., the Tacos (soft) – (with choice of filling) Frijole, in a soft corn shell with lettuce, chilli sauce and cheese ($5.9), from the Entremeses (Entrees) menu.

I took on Fiesta Mexican‘s specialty from the South Americn Premium Dishes menu, the Fiesta Combo (Hot – Picante) – a combination of beef, chicken, potatoes, tomatoes, sundried chilli and fresh cilantro, with fresh tortillas, arroz verde and chopped salad ($24.9). This was one of the two dishes in the menu that was labeled hot, and it was really hot but was tasty!

Ms. L. had the Enchilada Grande – Corn Tortillas (Gluten Free) – Two enchiladas with mild chilli sauce, served with brown rice and chopped salad, Beef and Chicken (1 each) ($22.9).

A Mexican meal won’t be complete without a Corona ($7.5). I haven’t had this beer for awhile, very refreshing, felt like having a siesta now …

Overall, the Mexican food we ordered at Fiesta Mexican was no bad, can’t go wrong with these traditional dishes. The service here was great, just pity our wait staff that needed to run up and down the stairs to fetch the food from the kitchen!
